On this weeks episode of Ferns and Berms Corey takes an old college buddy and his son on a quick rip at Syncline. I unpack some rad custom caps from Rothera and try to get over my fear of talking into the camera.
Like most kids in the 90's, I grew up scribbling on walls and thrashing around my neighborhood on my BMX. We left our mark wherever we went. Some people outgrow this, and for others, it's an artistic obsession that only gets stronger with age.
Looking back and hell looking forward, I think this obsession is one of the reasons I do Broken and Coastal. In a way it's my way to leave my mark, it's my artistic expression, my scribble on the wall.
On this weeks episode of Ferns and Berms I drive from Portland Oregon to Fall City Washington to ride with friends at their local trails.
I make it up to Seattle for work a few times a year and I always bring a bicycle. So when I got word I had to be in the office Monday morning I packed up my car and headed up north super early Sunday to catch some fresh Ferns and Berms. Yeah I said it. This thing is only going to get more embarrassing as time goes on!

Chris here from Broken and Coastal introducing you to a new project called Ferns and Berms. I’ll be posting a new video each week documenting some aspect of live here in the Pacific Northwest.
Today’s video was shot on the new Go Pro 7 Black at Sandy Ridge which is one of our local riding spots. Learn more about Sandy Ridge here: https://bit.ly/2RLaCSE Towards the end of the video you will hear some gun shots in the distance.
Who shoots guns next to a public trail system? No idea.
