Friends on Bikes

The biggest downside to living in Portland is its lack of diversity. Same goes for the cycling community. My friends and I got into cycling at VCU in Richmond, VA and we called ourselves Friends on Bikes or F.O.B. since we were all Asian. To be honest I don’t know if I would have kept biking if it wasn’t for my group of friends. Having a community you feel a part of is important, especially now. So my friend @Gritchelle and I are starting women of color cycling collective in Portland. We will have a variety of group rides, interview p.o.c. in the cycling community and volunteer and donate to nonprofits who are promoting diversity.
