The team rented a mansion in Bend to spend the weekend racing bikes and riding mountain bikes.

We finally got a bike stand. Baby steps.

Bent in Bend

My wife and I took a last minute trip out to Bend so that I could catch some of that good dirt. Turns out it was totally worth it!

My buddy Brian put together a killer ride starting from Tumalo Falls. Lots of climbing, lots of snow and a whole lot of smiles.

Totally worth the drive!

The views totally sucked!

A Weekend Mountain Biking in Bend

A few photos from our last trip out to Bend. Enjoy.

Bend is a small city on the Deschutes River, in Oregon. West are the lakes and peaks of the Cascade Mountains, with ski resorts and multi-use trails. In town, a trail leads up Pilot Butte, an extinct volcano. South, the High Desert Museum showcases the local environment, with history and live wildlife exhibits. In the Newberry National Volcanic Monument, stairs lead into the Lava River Cave, a huge lava tube.
The Deschutes River /dəˈʃuːts/ in central Oregon is a major tributary of the Columbia River. The river provides much of the drainage on the eastern side of the Cascade Range in Oregon, gathering many of the tributaries that descend from the drier, eastern flank of the mountains. The Deschutes provided an important route to and from the Columbia for Native Americans for thousands of years, and then in the 19th century for pioneers on the Oregon Trail.
